How to Set Up Automatic Invoice Reminders

AstaBill can automatically send your customers a payment reminder email before or on their due date — so you don't have to remember to chase every invoice manually.

Steps

1. Go to Settings → Business.
2. Scroll down to the Invoice reminders section.
3. Under Remind before due date, choose: Disabled, 1 day before, 3 days before, or 7 days before.
4. Optionally, edit the Reminder message template. Use placeholders like {customerName}, {invoiceNumber}, {dueDate}, {amountDue}, {total}, and {shareUrl}. Use {amountDue} to show the current outstanding balance after any partial payments.
5. Click Save Changes.

3 days before due date is a good default for most businesses — it gives the customer enough notice to arrange payment without feeling harassed.
